What information do we collect?

We collect information about you when you fill in a form on the website or place an order for products or services. We also collect information when you complete customer surveys or provide feedback. When you use our website we use first-party cookies to identify your device, to determine if you are authenticated and to enhance the functionality of the website. We use first-party cookies that are strictly necessary to enable you to move around the site or to provide certain basic features. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, however, some of our website features may not function as a result. We obviously also collect information when you enter into a contract with us, as a client or partner, or as an employee.

Examples of data we collect from website visitors: contact details (through the forms you fill in), IP address, location. Examples of data we collect from customers: contact details, billing details (note that details about your credit card are not stored at Firelay but are stored directly in a trusted and secured vault at our payment provider). Examples of data we collect from employees: contact details, ”BSN”,  dob.

Lawful grounds for collecting data

The lawful grounds for collecting and processing data are as follows:

Client data: Contractual; to enter into- and maintain a contract.

Visitor data: Consent; has been given by having agreed to our cookie policy, our Terms of Service (before 2018 May 25th), or the consent button in a web form.

Employee data: Legal obligation; the processing is necessary for us to comply with the law.

How will we use the information?

We use your information to provide the services requested, maintain a customer relationship, and, if you agree, to send you marketing information. We will not share your information for marketing purposes with other companies.

Managing Cookies

The legal basis for the processing of personal data in this context are Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the management of the cookies and similar technologies used and the related consents.

The provision of personal data is neither contractually required nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide the personal data. If you do not provide the personal data, we will not be able to manage your consents.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you, you may also ask us to correct information or remove inaccurate information. You also have the right to erasure, although this does not apply in all circumstances.
