Firelay’s Liferay Cloud is a cloud based solution dedicated and optimised for running Liferay DXP and Liferay Portal. Liferay Cloud comes in different tiers that offer a fit to any type of organisation from small organisations (e.g. sports clubs, fraternities and societies), to SME’s and multinational corporations. It was designed to enable organisations to rapidly integrate new insights and functionality into their portals without having to worry about the technical components underneath.
Service Desk
No matter whether you opt for the Entry package or purchase one of the mission critical packages, Liferay Cloud always offers the same type of dedicated support provided by Liferay trained staff. The Service Desk is available every day and has a 24x7x365 hotline.
Fully managed
Firelay’s Liferay Cloud is a fully managed platform. This means that Firelay takes care of applying updates, and installing security patches for every component in the portal’s stack (e.g. the database, search solution, the application server and the firewall). While in the meantime you can focus on sustaining the business value of your portal.
Self-service
Liferay Cloud comes with full fledged continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines that assure agile and predictable deployments. The platform assists your development team to work according to the Liferay good coding practices and enables them to push code to environments at will while being able to observe the impact of changes by inspecting logs of all relevant processes. Because of its degree of self-service our platform is being used by many Liferay Service Partners as part of their own services.
Security
Firelay is ISO27001 certified and annually audited. Your data is always encrypted in Firelay’s Liferay Cloud both in transit and at rest.
Backups, RPO and RTO
Snapshots of your data are created using a scheduler. The interval at which backups are created can be configured to support a Recovery Point Objective (RPO) down to minutes. Lower tiers of Liferay Cloud have a Recovery Time Objective (RTO) of 4[h], whereas the higher tiers have RTO’s down to minutes.
It offers all features of Liferay’s native cloud and is available worldwide.
